FISHING REPORT

FRIDAY NOVEMBER 5th, Kings are pretty well done for the season. Steelhead doing well in the harbors using a variety of baits. Wax worms with tinsel jigs or flies, night crawlers, spawn, larger minnows, shrimp etc… A few Coho in the mix as well as a nice Pike here and there.  A lot of you are waiting on the perch to show up. The past 2 years they showed up just about this time so start trying. Water temps have dropped and will continue to do so which is what we want for those winter perch, as well as mild winds. Diversey harbor also has some nice crappie and blue gill at this time of year. We will have the winter harbor pier passes starting November 15th, they are $6 and are good Nov. 15th – March 31st from 6am to 11pm 7 days a week. They allow fishing in the winter from certain docks located within the Chicago Harbors. We also have the 2022 DuSable & Burnham harbor parking passes available now, they are $10 for 2 months. Navy Pier is open for fishing like it has been in the past. I’ve heard there is a small increase in the fisherman’s parking fee. We will be open into the first week of December. Our hours right now will stay opening at 6am and closing at 5pm, but in cases of inclement weather we may close earlier so at this time of year it’s always good to call ahead. As always call for your up to the minute report we tell it as we hear it.
