FISHING REPORT
Thursday September 25th, Salmon have been up and down with these crazy water temps but for the most part the bite is still better than the past few years. The average size has been 10 to 14 pounds but A few bigger ones have started to make their moves around the harbors. There was good action on the horseshoe They are still Hitting on lures and crankbaits but should be starting to hit on some bait any time now. Reports From Up North Have Them Starting To Hit on Eggs. We have plenty of salmon eggs in stock, so get your slip bobber rods ready to go.
A few nice perch have been caught here in the harbor. I Don’t think its something to target at the moment but you never know. Fishing is a game of chance.
a few steelhead have been caught. Should be time to start jigging with maribu/hair jigs and wax worms, shrimp or with large golden shiners on a slip float.
smallmouth bite has been on and off but when they turn on they have been unbelievable! All the usual plastics such as ned rigs, wacky worms, tubes etc. as well as live baits, leeches, large Minnows, nitro worms etc…
with these strong north/northeast winds and the warm water there are probably Sheephead on the horseshoe. grab some soft shell Crayfish and give it a shot.
Get up and get out you Can’t catch em from the couch. Enjoy the nice fall weather too. As always call for your up to the minute report, we tell it as we hear it!
