FISHING REPORT

Thursday May 28th, Hope everyone had a great Holiday weekend! Fishing report is pretty much the same. We are still dealing with inconsistent weather but more stable days are right around the corner! Water temps still on the chilly side. Today’s shore temperature is 59*.
perch season is closed and will open back up on june 16th. Have not had any catch and release reports. Hoping the water stays cool for when the season opens.
smallmouth are still the go to fish at the moment. They are hitting a bunch of different plastics which are in stock here at the shop as well as live bait such as large golden shiners, nitro worms, regular night crawlers and leeches. Just work them all on a slow retrieve on the bottom in and around the harbors.
A few nice northerns caught here and there. Big carp being caught in the harbors.
No near shore salmon or trout reports but the boats trolling are doing well.
a few sheephead starting to bite on the horseshoe as the water temps slowly warm up.
A lot of you are asking about Live crayfish (crabs). The weather has them a little behind also. We should Have them soon.

just remember you can’t Catch em from the couch so get up and get out! enjoy the outdoors and have a great week!

as always call the shop for your up to the minute report, we tell it as we hear it!
