FISHING REPORT

Saturday october 31st, Happy Halloween! Wow time is flying! Thanksgiving is right around the corner then christmas. As far as i know right now we will be open through the First week of december. The weather will dictate If we can stay open a Little longer. Starting sunday november 1st our hours will be 6am to 5pm 7 days a week. If we have a bad weather day we may close early so always call first just to be on the safe side.

So many are already asking so let me start with the chicago park district pier pass program. They are not Available until november 15th. The reason for this is that all boats must be out of the harbors. The pass cost is $10 and is good from november 15th 2026 through march 31st 2027 from 6am to 11pm 7 days a week. It allows access for fishing on specific docks in most of the chicago harbors. they will be listed on the pass.
navy pier will be offering their winter fishing dock pass, information is listed on their website. https://navypiermarina.com/

salmon and trout fishing is still good for those still fishing. They are catching coho and kings still in and around the harbors and lakefront on lures and some baits on slip bobbers. Lots of them are getting old but still putting up a fight on the end of your line. Really nice steelhead/rainbows in and Around the harbors and lakefront on hair/maribu jigs with wax or butter worms, larger Minnows, night crawlers, lures, etc…. And you may even hook into a northern, there have been quite a few caught.

no perch to report as of yet. It may be a little later due to our warm fall but you never know fishing is always like a crap shoot. UNPREDICTABLE!

fishing along the riverwalk Has been good. Lots of different species being caught. Minnows, worms etc….

Some fall crappie and blue gills starting to bite at diversey harbor.
