FISHING REPORT

Friday October 3d, I personally love the extended summer but the fish are being fussing with it. The king salmon are slow but steady. It’s just a matter of casting, casting, casting. Don’t give up! They are still hitting on lures and crankbaits but should start hitting bait like spawn sacs floating on a slip bobber soon. Ask about our frozen formulated salmon eggs which some have called salmon crack. Have not heard of many trout, steelhead or browns  but they should be starting To get more active as the temps start to fall. a coulple really nice perch have been caught here in the harbor but Wouldn’t get hopes up to catch a bunch, but than again you never know. no Smallmouth catch reports. Guys are seeing them but not to active on the bite. saturday october 18th starts the cook county forest preserve trout fishing season. They will be stocking axehead, belleau, busse reservior north pool, sag quarry east, horsetail, and green lakes. Make sure to get your inland trout stamps right here at the shop. get up and get out enjoy the weather while you can and remember You Can’t catch em from the couch!
