FISHING REPORT
Friday november 28th, Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.
Perch have showed up right on time. Reports from navy pier were good but a lot of small ones (dinks). Also had good feedback from a few guys i talked to about fishing the new docks. the new dock pass for navy pier is online and takes a couple days to receive your code. The reports from the slip at 87th are good with some getting there limits. Size is mixed. No reports from around the harbors. All the usual baits, minnows, wax worms, shrimp, plastics, jigging spoons, etc…
Quite a few Lakers being caught on jigging spoons. In fact if you Hadn’t heard one of our local charter boat Captain’s ernesto with thin blue line charters was out on his smaller boat with his brother Leo Fishing by chicago light for lake trout and leo caught a 14lb walleye. That was just short of the state record but by chicago lake michigan standards it was a record fish. Picture above.
The steelhead and brown trout have been slow. A few here and there in the harbors.
work the bottom with a Hair/maribu jig tipped with wax worms, larger shiner minnows, shrimp, etc… can use with a slip bobber or without either way has worked.
Crappie, bluegill and a few perch still biting at diversey By the docks.
Unfortunately the weather is not looking good for us to stay open much longer. Was trying to get through the first weekend of december, so Depending On What This Snow System Brings This Could Be One Of Our Last Days with full hours. I will try to keep you informed.
