FISHING REPORT

Wednesday September 2d, Wow can you believe September is here already! Well the good news is It’s time to get out casting.

salmon reports are still spotty but… we are getting a few Reports of some catches. Guy on the Horseshoe caught a king, a coho and a steelhead in the we hours, Like 2am the other day. He was Casting out as far as he could. A few other reports from a few of the other harbors have a few being caught. Steelhead as well as kings. They are starting to stage in all the local areas. Jumping, jumping, jumping. Don’t Forget A Salmon Stamp. We have all the lures and Equipment needed to land you a biggie. Also check out our salmon lure Mystery boxes! You Can’t go wrong! There is even a mystery envelope game to go along with the mystery box during the month of september.

lots of people asking about perch but have none to report. Most everyone fishing for salmon now.

smallmouth action Good. In and around the harbors on large shiner minnows, leeches, nitro worms etc… also plastics like ned rigs, craws, senkos, etc…fish the bottom and retrive slowly back up.

other fish of interest, Northern pike, quite a few in and around the harbors too, so be ready for a fight if you hook into one!

there have been Reports of other Miscellaneous species such as sheephead (freshwater drum), rock bass, crappie, blue gill, carp, catfish and bullheads being caught in and around the harbors and lakefront.

Don’t forget to mark your calendars for sunday september 13th at 10am. Montrose harbor drive (street in front of the bait shop) will be dedicated to my father and will become honorary willie greene way! I have attached the information at the bottom.
