FISHING REPORT

Tuesday August 25th, Wasn’t it just the 4th of July! How are we already in the last week of August?
There is still a lot of fish to be caught and a lot of fishing to be done so get up and get out!

Let’s start with what your waiting for! Salmon! Not many reports yet. Kris caught that 1 a couple weeks ago and mike caught a 14lb male this past sunday morning at diversey on a glo moonshine. Also a few reports of them starting to jump around. Now is Definitely the time to get your gear together and start casting.

no trout to report as of yet.

no perch reported.

smallmouth still in and around the harbors. They still need a little enticing, so work your live bait or plastics off the bottom. Maybe even add a leech or a nitro worm to the plastic.

many days the winds have been out of the north/east which makes the sheephead (freshwater drum) fishing really good. Use crayfish on a bottom rig. Live crayfish are done for the year but we have plenty of frozen. We have soft shell and hard shell.

My husband brian was out at skokie lagoons today (tuesday) he was getting a lot of bluegill and lost a pretty big northern. No net! lol!
