FISHING REPORT

Tuesday August 18th, Just because the kiddos are going back to school Doesn’t mean the summer is over. there is still a lot of nice weather and great fishing to come!

first report is about the smallmouth. i was told by one of our regular customers that what was possibly the new state record smallmouth was caught, i believe it was on the horseshoe. So with that being said, They are still being caught in and around the shoreline and harbors. They are hitting crayfish, leeches, large shiner minnows, nitro and regular night crawlers, as well as Artificial baits. Just work the bottom.

we Definitely had 1 salmon landed and brought in by Kris last week and there are a few reports of jumpers. It is still a bit early around here but you never know unless you try. Cooler nights are here and water temps should start to drop. We have a great variety of the casting lures and crankbaits needed to get yourself on the board! We also have a few Different types of cure for your spawn, get it early while its available.

there has been some nice northerns caught in the harbors. Worms and lures.

freshwater drum ( sheephead) still very prevalent in and around the shoreline and horseshoe pier. Crayfish are the best bait for them but they will hit a lot of other baits live and Artificial.
