FISHING REPORT

Wednesday September 4th, Seems like our season just started and it’s already September. Well you know what that means the big guys (King Salmon) will be starting to come around. We’ve had a few reports of fish jumping, there have been some caught and landed, quite a few reports of hits and losses. You just gotta get out and start casting. As the water cools they should start getting more active. We are fully stocked with all the equipment you need to catch one! The Smallmouth have become more active again in and around the harbors on plastics and live baits such as night crawlers and live crayfish. A few small perch as well as some nice size rock bass in the harbor on minnows and red worms. Sheephead off and on with the winds on live crayfish. River walk is still a hot place for all species activity. Baits of choice for the river walk are minnows, leeches, worms, & wax worms as well as artificials like jigs or spinners. Skokie Lagoons have been keeping my husband occupied and having fun. He’s been catching small bass, crappie and bluegill. Get up and get out, enjoy the fall, you can’t catch them from your couch. We are now opening at 6am. As always call for your up to the minute report we tell it as we hear it.
