FISHING REPORT

SATURDAY JULY 30th, PERCH ARE STILL AROUND YOU JUST HAVE TO LOCATE THEM AND THEN WORK FOR THEM WITH A SPINNER OR A JIG, SOMETHING THAT KEEPS MOVING TIPPED WITH A CRAYFISH SOFT OR POND SEEMS TO BE THE BEST. GOOD NEWS IS THE WATER TEMPS ARE BACK DOWN IN THE LOW 60’s. AND WITH THE UPCOMING HEATWAVE WINDS SHOULD PRIMARILY STAY SOUTH AND WEST SO THAT WILL KEEP WATER TEMPS ON THE COOLER SIDE. IF IT HAPPENS TO DROP BELOW 60 YOU MAY EVEN HEAR OF A KING SALMON GETTING CAUGHT. THE SMALLMOUTH ARE STILL ACTIVE IN AND AROUND THE SURROUNDING HARBORS. THEY USE A LOT OF ARTIFICIAL BAITS AS WELL AS  A FEW STEELHEAD HAVE BEEN CAUGHT BY DIVERSEY CASTING SPOONS. SHEEPHEAD (DRUM) ARE DOING GOOD WHEN WINDS ARE NORTH OR NORTHEAST. AS ALWAYS CALL FOR YOUR UP TO THE MINUTE REPORT WE TELL IT AS WE HEAR IT.
