FISHING REPORT

MONDAY SEPTEMBER 5th, HAPPY LABOR DAY! SALMON FISHING AND CATCHING HAS BEEN GETTING BETTER DAY BY DAY. THEY DID START TO RUN A LITTLE EARLY DUE TO THE WATER BEING COOLER THIS AUGUST BUT ITS SEPTEMBER NOW AND THEY SHOULD CONTINUE TO BE ACTIVE INTO OCTOBER. THERE IS AN UNUSUAL SALMON SPECIES THAT WAS CAUGHT ON THE CHARTER BOATS THIS YEAR WHICH IS THE PINK SALMON SO KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN FOR SOMETHING DIFFERENT. AS ALWAYS EVERYONE HAS THERE FAVORITE LURES BUT THE GLOW IN THE DARKS TOP THE LIST. MOONSHINE, KO WOBBLERS, LITTLE CLEOS, LIVINGSTONS, KROCS, ETC…WE HAVE THEM ALL!  JUST GET OUT AND GIVE IT A SHOT. TROUT HAVE BEEN ACTIVE ALSO. MOSTLY STEELHEAD (rainbow) ON BASIC DAYTIME SPOONS AND CRANKBITS. A FEW BROWNS STARTING TO SHOW UP SO GET YOUR SLIP BOBBER RODS SET UP AND USE SPAWN SACS, NIGHT CRAWLERS OR LARGER MINNOWS. SMALLMOUTH STILL AROUND IN THE USUAL HARBOR LOCATIONS. NO PERCH REPORTS. SHEEPHEAD GOOD ESPECIALLY WITH THE N/E WINDS. WE DO HAVE LIVE CRAYFISH IN STOCK RIGHT NOW. A LOT OF NORTHERNS BEING CAUGHT BY THE GUYS CASTING. STARTING TOMORROW TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 6TH WE WILL BE OPENING AT 6AM. AS ALWAYS CALL FOR YOUR UP TO THE MINUTE REPORT WE TELL IT AS WE HEAR IT.
