FISHING REPORT

Wednesday June 19th, Perch season opened on Sunday and so far it has been ok. Some have gotten there limits and others  have had a few to none. That is how summer perch are they move and are finicky but they are around. They are really nice size. They are hitting the usual baits, minnows, crayfish, some even on worms, also a few on artificial baits like jigs or Shad raps. Over the weekend there were quite a few Steelhead caught mostly at Diversey,  a couple at Montrose too. They were caught using shrimp also hair jigs with wax worms. Smallmouth still biting and there have been some big ones too. A variety of fish caught on the Chicago River Walk. It is finally summer get out and enjoy the outdoors.
